SimAuto Manager
- All of the important processing Cruncher performs is done through Simulator using SimAuto connections handled by the SimAuto Manager
- Settings for the SimAuto Manager can be found in the User Settings Dialog
- Processing Cores defines the number of SimAuto processes the SimAuto Manager will maintain when connected, with an option to use the maximum number supported by the machine. Updates to this setting are applied the next time the SimAuto Manager connects (if updates are applied while connected, reconnect to apply the new values)
- Auto-start SimAutoinstructs Cruncher to start the SimAuto Manager automatically on application startup.
- The SimAuto Manager handles SimAuto usage within one instance of Cruncher when processing multiple Studies concurrently – running multiple instances of Cruncher concurrently instead can lead to inefficient usage of local resources
- The SimAuto Manager currently only runs local connections for Cruncher processing. Simulator Distributed Computing for Contingency Analysis, ATC, TS, and QV can make use of remote resources
- The SimAuto Manager display in the main Cruncher Ribbon Tab has a number of indicators and controls
- Connection Toggle button to connect/disconnect
- Idle Connection bar to indicate SimAuto connections available for processing tasks
- Active Connections bar to indicate SimAuto connections currently performing tasks
- SimAuto Service indicator shows if the SimAuto Service is currently running and if it is limiting the number of SimAuto connections the SimAuto Manager can maintain
- Distributed Computing Resources Lock indicator indicates if the Distributed Computer List on this machine is locked or not
